In the UniFormation Maker Stories Challenge, we received an inspiring entry from Adrien Larrieu — a maker whose creative journey began with a small resin printer under the Christmas tree.
What started as a simple gift became a lifelong pursuit of creativity, precision, and imagination. Through his GKtwo printers, Adrien transformed his passion into artistry, building a workshop where dreams take form layer by layer.
His story reminds every maker that creativity knows no boundaries — that with persistence, curiosity, and the right tools, even the simplest beginnings can lead to extraordinary creations.
Let’s dive into Adrien’s inspiring story together! 🎄✨
Adrien’s Story:
Christmas 2022. Under the tree, a small resin printer with a modest build plate, and a dream: to bring figurines to life, layer by layer. Little did I know, this gift would spark an endless adventure.
From the very first prints, the creative bug bit hard. But soon, the hunger for something bigger took over. "You need a GKtwo." The feedback from the community was unanimous. Skeptical but determined, I took the plunge on February 27, 2023. And then… revelation. The print quality was breathtaking—details so fine they seemed to come from a professional workshop. Every resin layer was a promise: "With this, you can dare anything."
And dare I did.

Projects followed one after another, each crazier and more ambitious than the last. Figurines came to life under my fingers, dioramas told stories, and technical challenges were met with diabolical precision. The GKtwo wasn’t just a machine; it was a gateway to the impossible. The incredible detail of the prints pushed me into a new playground: painting. Every brushstroke revealed the hidden magic in each layer, each curve. Friends and family started asking for custom pieces: "Adrien, can you make us a dragon? A Halloween clown? A video game character?" Each request was a new adventure, an excuse to push my limits further.

Today, my workshop is a true creative lab: two GKtwos, the Wash and Cure stations—all part of a streamlined production chain where every step, from slicing to finishing, is mastered. More than a hobby, it’s a passion that brightens my days—and the days of everyone who discovers my creations. Seeing eyes light up when I unveil a new piece? That’s the real reward.
What made my choose UniFormation?
Simple: the community and the quality spoke for you.
When I wanted to level up from my first resin printer, one name kept coming up: UniFormation. The feedback was unanimous—unmatched precision, rock-solid reliability, and machines designed by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. After testing my first GKtwo on February 27, 2023, I understood why: every print was a revelation. Details so crisp they exceeded my expectations, user-friendly design that unleashed my creativity, and an ecosystem (Wash, Cure) built for a seamless workflow.
But beyond the tech, it’s the UniFormation spirit that won me over. A brand that listens to its users, constantly innovates, and fosters a community of demanding yet passionate makers. You don’t just sell printers—you provide the tools to turn dreams into reality. And that’s something no marketing pitch can replicate.
How has 3d printing influenced my life, work, or hobbies?
For me, 3D printing isn’t just a hobby—it’s a daily revolution.
In my personal life:
It transformed how I create and connect. What started as a simple curiosity became an all-consuming passion: designing figurines, dioramas, and one-of-a-kind decorations for family and friends. Every project is an adventure, a way to brighten everyday life and surprise loved ones. Thanks to my GKtwo printers, I even discovered painting, unlocking an artistic dimension I never expected.
In my work:
Though I’m a taxi driver by trade, 3D printing taught me discipline, patience, and problem-solving—skills I use every day. It also introduced me to an amazing creative community (like Le Labo Créatif), where I share, learn, and grow as a maker.
For my hobbies:
It took everything to the next level. Whether it’s themed projects (like my Halloween decorations), custom gifts, or material experiments, every print is a new chance to push my boundaries. Now, I see the world differently: anything can be imagined, designed, and brought to life. It’s endless creative freedom.
In short, 3D printing turned me into a maker, an artist, and a dreamer—and that’s priceless.
I’m just a passionate guy, someone who thrills every time the build plate rises to reveal a new masterpiece. Someone who, thanks to Uniformation, turned a pastime into an endless quest for beauty and precision. You’ve created more than just machines; you’ve built a community of dreamers, artists, and mad enthusiasts who, like me, eagerly await every innovation.
So yes, I’m counting on you to keep pushing the boundaries. Because we’re many who follow you, love you, and above all… want to soar even higher with you.
